The Multifunctional Blazer
Now that you have all been practicing stylewashing for a week, I thought we could move on to something more substantial. (If you don't know what stylewashing is click here). So, this week, we start learning how to dress your monsieur.
There are a few pieces of a man's wardrobe that are essential for him to achieve a polished look—the most important being the blazer. Traditionally less playful than a sportcoat, the blazer (named after an old British rowing team's uniform) is a godsend for men who don't want to suit up, but still want to look presentable when needed.
Though, ladies, be cautious when selecting a jacket for your newly minted gentleman. Don't overkill it with a loud blazer, or you might scare him off indefinitely, keep it basic looking for pieces made with quality fabrics to ensure longevity and to maximize wearability.
