Hermès J’aime Mon Carré Pops Up For The Holidays

Go wild at label's temporary scarf shoppe, a luxe playground for the chic set

It’s no secret that the Flare fashion team has a soft, silky spot for timeless Hermès scarves. So when we heard that the label was opening a temporary carré shoppe in Toronto’s tony Rosedale neighborhood, we quickly hopped an (appropriately) orange taxi to investigate. What was formerly a bare-bones florist studio has been transformed into a technicolour barrage of luxurious accessories – a prime spot for holiday shopping. Inside, the glow of glossy tangerine walls bounce off lacquer bangles displayed like general store candy. Confectionary-hued scarves (to both try and buy) line the walls. Jars of candy and bonbon-like silk covered buttons further the kid-in-a-candy store splendor. With a stylist on hand to teach you the art of scarf-tying and a snap-happy polaroid photographer to document the adventure, the spirit of the shoppe is luxury gone playful. It’s a welcome change from the serious, tippy-toe tone at storied Hermès boutiques. Indeed, no matter your sophistication level, everyone looses their cool at the sight of that orange box.

Hermès J’aime Mon Carré pop-up shoppe is open now till Dec. 5th, from 12pm-6pm at 1099 Yonge Street (at Price Street) in Toronto
