Hermès Collaborates with Comme des Garçons' Rei Kawakubo

Another day, another fashion collaboration — and this one is something to get excited about. Two limited edition silk scarf collections are expected to hit stores in early February under the name Comme des Carrés. The joint project of Rei Kawakubo, creative director for Comme des Garçons, and French luxury brand Hermès, the scarves will be a mixture of traditional carré elements infused with abstract art.

The first set will be sold exclusively in New York, Paris, and Tokyo Comme des Garçons stores. Entitled Noir et Blanc, the set of five black and white designed scarves will be priced at approximately $493, being the more affordable of the two collections. The second line, Couleur will feature six colourful pieces and will retail for approximately $2,076. Couleur will be available at Kawakubo’s London and Tokyo Dover Street Market stores.
