After a year and a half of fashion hiatus, Nicolas Ghesquière introduced his first collection for Louis Vuitton on the final day of Paris Fashion Week. It was a decidedly pared-down offering of what we had come to expect under Marc Jacob’s 16-year tenure, with a showing of wide-collared coats, an assortment of luxury leather, and minimalist handbags. But Ghesquière’s elegant aesthetic and reinterpretation of classic Vuitton has more than sparked our anticipation of things to come at the house. – Cristina Oss-Cech
