After working as Jean Paul Gaultier’s assistant for several years, Atsushi Nakashima returned to his homeland to start his namesake label in 2009. He creates futuristic looking clothing by experimenting with various fabrics, favouring clean-cut silhouettes and using monochromatic shades to create apparel and accessories for men and women, which are inspired by geometric shapes and classical elements—a nod to his mentor.
