It was an evening of saturated style at the Montreal Museum of Fine Arts as the colour-block-clad guests were treated to a special look at “Beyond Pop Art: Tom Wesselmann,” a technicolour trip through the career of the Pop Art pioneer.
Amid a backdrop of Wesselmann’s colour-clash collages, paintings and steel-cut works of arts, well-heeled guests were at their hyper-hued best. Local beauty brand Lise Watier pampered event-goers with its eye-popping products, while brightly coloured creations by Quebec labels Bodybag by Jude, Iris Setlakwe and Duc C. Nguyen were also on display in a nod to this week’s Montreal Fashion and Design Festival.
“Beyond Pop Art: Tom Wesselmann” is on until October 7, 2012 at the Montreal Museum of Fine Arts. General Admission, $15. $7.50 on Wednesdays from 5–9 p.m.
