While other retailers may turn to high-end and emerging designers for their collaborations, Banana Republic has been going in an entirely different direction for their own capsule collections. The retailer has instead been taking their inspiration from more media-centric sources—first Mad Men, and now comes a holiday collection based on the upcoming film adaptation of Tolstoy’s Anna Karenina.

Banana Republic worked closely on the styling of the collection with the film’s costume designer, Jacqueline Durran, to ensure they nailed the look of the 19th century period drama. Based on the preview, we’re anticipating statement accessories, lace, structured coats with bold buttons, and plenty of luxe fur and lace. Look for the collection in stores this October.
