Lucky for us, the fashion world never sleeps and as soon as we see the end of one season’s collections we’re already looking forward to the next. Groupe Sensation Mode has announced its first batch of confirmed designers to show at Montreal Fashion Week which includes Mélissa Nepton, Harricana, Ralph Leroy, L’autre couture de Luko Marion, Rush Couture by Claudette Floyd, Nisse, Pedram Karimi, Matière noire, Cokluch, Symbiose by Hinda A., Maryline Baril, Jennifer Glasgow Design and Voyou. Held at the Arsenal from February 4 to 7 there will also be a number of exhibitions, fashion films, artistic performances and conferences held, including a look at macro-trends for Spring 2014 by WGSN’s Carly Atojsic. With Target’s move to Canada we can also look forward to Target’s Emerging Designer Award which will be handed out for the very first time. After five finalists present their designs during a special show, the grand-prize winner will receive a $25,000 grant and opportunity to create an collection exclusive to Target stores in Quebec.
