Riri has done it again! On Monday night the star debuted her Fenty Puma by Rihanna Fall 2017 collection at Paris Fashion Week. And it was totally badass.
The theme, Fenty University, was clear throughout the collection from the collegiate-inspired setting complete with shelves of books to the navy tartan that reminded us of dreaded school uniforms to the sporty separates, like letterman caps and athletic shorts.
In true Bad Gal fashion, the looks were anything but school approps. The show opened with a model sporting an extra-long tartan puffer jacket with nothing underneath. From there, ultra-mini skirts, midriff-bearing crop tops and plunging necklines flooded the runway, all of which would’ve resulted in a visit to the principal’s office at my catholic high school.
Rihanna took to Instagram before the show, sharing her thoughts on her third Fenty x Puma collection. “I’ve never been in love with a collection more than this one” she explained in a video. “There’s a lot of simple things and then a lot of complicated, more exaggerated pieces that combine really well together, and that’s like my favourite thing to do.”
If you’re like us and you can’t wait until next season to get your hands on the collection, you will be glad to know you can shop the spring line verrry soon. The Fenty Puma SS17 collection launches online at thebay.com on Thursday March 23rd. Equally as badass as Fall 2017, the line is made up of XXL hoodies, silk camisoles that are perfect for spring layering and lots of on-trend sheer separates, all in millennial pink, army green and white.
