Canadian design stars show their latest at Holt Renfrew.


Early this morning, Toronto’s fashion-media contingent turned up at Holt Renfrew for a petit déjeuner and designer preview.  This season, Holt’s chose to highlight Denis Gagnon, Jeremy Laing, Mikhael Kale, Lida Biday (who was absent) and Greta Constantine.  An intimate affair, FT’s Jeanne Beker interviewed the designers as they each showed a few key looks from their fall collections.  From Gagnon’s nouveau fringe, Laing’s totem-pole print, Kale’s boudoir sheers, Biday’s architectural details and Greta’s wool lady-draping, it was a breakfast of Canadian design champions.
