Vawk Fall 2013
I felt very lucky that my last show sketching for FLARE.com was Vawl, because I love Sunny Fong's crisp, feminine silhouettes and playful yet complex detailing. His designs never betray their intensive craftsmanship by revealing the significant effort it took to make them — and that's what I aspire to do with live runway sketching too. After over five years of runway sketching, whether on paper or Paper, my goal is to make every sketch as spontaneous and delightful as it is to watch a model strut by, even though this means that I never get to sit back and relax at a fashion show myself any more. It's so worth it. Thanks for sharing these moments with me!
