Denis Gagnon continues his trajectory in 2011, coming off a winning year that saw him collaborate with Bedo, mount an exhibit at Montreal’s Museum of Fine Arts, show his collection at both Montreal and Toronto Fashion Week and design uniforms for Hotel Place D’Armes. And now, with the re-opening of his store this week, the Quebec design star adds another feather to his cap.
The new space is located on rue St-Paul, the gallery-filled cobblestone street in Old Montreal. Architect extraordinaire Etienne Houte created this haute space, which showcases Gagnon’s work gallery style.
Indeed, Gagnon has raised the bar for Quebec designers. We can’t wait to see what else the man behind the thick black frames has in store for spring.
