So excited to be back in Paris this season. I’m off the overnight flight straight to the Dries Van Noten show. There’s a reason why they call it the red eye—I didn’t sleep a wink. Needless to say, I’m not at my most glamorous.
There are countless extraordinary locations in Paris, and this locale is no exception. I’m always dumbfounded when I walk in to a gilded room with gorgeous chandeliers hanging from hand painted ceilings.
While there were a few floral prints to please the regular Dries customer, I love the simple, sobriety of the army green cargo pants and skirts, military inspired jackets, and cocoon shaped coats in earthy colours. Leopard was the print of choice in fur stoles and coats, while drindle skirts were paired with masculine jackets. Signature ethnic embellishments decorated the sleeves of a couple choice jackets and dresses.
Without an invite to Rochas, this will be my first and only show today. Which is fine by me, since I haven’t slept in over 24 hours.
