Copenhagen Fashion Week is one of our favourite fashion events for several reasons, from its focus on sustainability to its world-class designers that seem to always strike the right balance between innovation and wearbility. And then, of course, there’s the Scandi street style, which is the truest display of efforless chic, and a welcome antidote to the peacocking that floods our feeds during New York, London, Milan and Paris fashion weeks.
While it seems to eschew showiness, Danish street style is always something to behold—whether it’s genius ways to work sneakers into every outfit, or inventive accessorizing of a plain wool coat, Copenhagen’s influencers always offer real-life styling tricks that we adopt pretty much immediately.
From dresses over jeans to midi skirts over trousers, the street style at the Fall 2018 shows was all about long layers. And we are so. here. for. it. Not only does this pants-with-everything hack breathe new life into our old separates, but it’s a stylish and cozy way to stay warm through the rest of winter. Win win.
