Carine Roitfeld Organizes Cannes Fashion Show for Charity

The Cannes Film Festival, which starts today, has brought on yet another new project for Carine Roitfeld—spearheading a charity fashion show (the first ever) for amFAR’s annual Cinema Against AIDS gala at the festival next week.

The looks for the show centre around Roitfeld’s theme of the perfect, all-black wardrobe. Whose looks can we expect to see trotted down the runway? Labels including Givenchy, Chanel, Balenciaga, Alexander Wang, Fendi, Christopher Kane, Louis Vuitton and Versace have all donated pieces to the show that will be auctioned off as one lot afterwards.

That’s not all the former editrix has on her plate: A new documentary centered around Carine, titled Madamoiselle C., is reportedly being shopped around at the film festival this week. The film, from the same producer of the Marc Jacobs & Louis Vuitton documentary, will take a behind-the-scenes look at Carine’s creative process as she begins to work on her first post-Vogue publishing venture.
