With designers and editors vying for her attention and fashion followers envying her model off duty style (she recently got her initials tattooed on the side of her hand and a lion on her finger), Cara Delevingne is the model of the moment. And today comes news that she will continue to grace the glossies in Saint Laurent’s new Fall/Winter 2013 campaign.
The shoot was photographed by creative director Hedi Slimane—who made a statement earlier this year when he released the first snaps for Fall 2013 featuring Courtney Love and Marilyn Manson—and keeps the rocker theme flowing with musician Zachary Cole Smith of DIIV starring alongside Delevingne.
With beauty and style running in the family—her older sister Poppy is an ambassador for Chanel, Louis Vuitton and Thomas Sabo jewellery—the 20-year old is bound to be a tour de force for years to come. The multifaceted model is not completely new to the Saint Laurent brand, as the current face of YSL Beauty’s Baby Doll mascara. Earlier this month she went au naturel for Marc Jacobs’s campaign against skin cancer and also walked the catwalk for his latest Marc Jacobs and Louis Vuitton lines. But the work doesn’t stop there. Delevingne is also the face of Burberry Beauty and has appeared in campaigns for Chanel and H&M.
With all this achievement at such a young age, it’s no wonder that she was awarded Model of the Year in 2012 at the British Fashion Awards and is now one of the most sought after models around. Delevingne—who calls Rihanna and Rita Ora her friends—hits up many red carpets, making FLARE’s best dressed list twice this past month, showing off old Hollywood glamour at Cannes and her pretty punk-y style at this year’s Met Gala. The girl knows good style—and we love her for it.
