The runways are alive… with the sound of wedding bells! Less than two weeks after the legalization of gay marriage in New York state, two designers are already planning on tying the knot. Shoe designer Brian Atwood enthusiastically announced his engagement to boyfriend, Dr. Jake Deutsch, yesterday on Twitter. Fashion mogul Michael Kors and his long time partner Lance LePere (who worked as an intern for Kors more than 20 years ago) are also planning on taking the plunge. The two were spotted filing for a marriage license at the Manhattan City Clerk’s office on August 3. “Lance and I are very excited to finally be able to have the opportunity to marry in our home state after many years together,” Kors told Us Weekly. “We have no plans for a major party, but we will be getting married privately.” Congratulations to the happy couples!
