Amongst a sea of fashion photo bloggers it takes something extra for an image to pop online—and New York-based photographer Jamie Beck has done just that with her new series of “cinemagraphs” that add motion to her already stunning images. The series of animated gifs, which are mini-moments created from a series of still photos, plays out in the subtlest of styles on her blog From Me To You.
“I just love the transformative world of fashion, you can really communicate any thought, mood, emotion, or time through what you wear and in my case how you shoot it,” shared the budding blogger.
One of the recent highlights on “From Me To You” are the fashion moments Beck captured with top Canadian model Coco Rocha. With the help from Rich Tong, fashion director at Tumblr, and the team at Oscar de la Renta, Beck and Rocha collaborated on a series of cinemagraphs that blended fashion, motion and a beautiful moment. “Watching Coco in front of the camera was like watching performance art—she just transforms. Not only is she incredibly talented at creating moments but she is also one of the most genuine people I’ve met,” said Beck.
