Standing out amongst the crowd is a silver-haired senior dressed to the nines on the streets of New York City. There, she’s snapped by blogger Ari Seth Cohen of Advanced Style, a website dedicated to showing the fashions of those over 60.
From the iconic Iris Apfel to the late film star Mimi Weddell, Cohen features a stylish set often overlooked by those of a younger age. The blog, which launched in 2008, was inspired by Cohen’s late grandmother Bluma, who pushed for his move to New York from San Diego. With a book set to be released in early 2012, Advanced Style shows that style really does get better with age.
Filled with cheery photographs, this street style blog makes it clear that fashion is about dressing for yourself and expressing a mood defined by no other. Don’t believe us? Watch the video below.
