When Beyoncé puts something new into the world, everyone takes notice. Even if it’s two minutes of mostly black-and-white footage that shows Queen Bey running on a treadmill, in slo-mo, stepping out of a pool, dripping wet, stretching and showing off some dance moves, all while sporting pieces from her forthcoming athleisure line, Ivy Park.
Because this is Yonce, don’t expect that she just wants to sell you a headband. The video finds the superstar feeling introspective (feeling herself?), talking about pushing through to the next level when she thinks she can’t go further, setting a good example for lil’ sis Solange and finding comfort, peace, solitude and strength when she thinks of the park that clearly holds dear memories.
We see her putting logoed sport bras, tanks, sleeveless tees, hoodies, sneakers and that killer leotard to good use while she runs laps and totes around Blue Ivy and even makes a strong case for rethinking the shower shoe.
Ivy Park SS16 hits Hudson’s Bay stores on April 14.
