Experience the magic of Tory Burch’s Fall 2013 collection with this behind-the-scenes glimpse at her New York Fashion Week presentation. From backstage beauty touch-ups to setting up the runway, the short film — Tory Burch: Making of a Show, by Tabitha Denholm — offers a rare insight into the process of a fashion show.
Featuring Burch herself, stylist Tabitha Simmons, models Cara Delevingne and Julia Nobis, makeup artist Diane Kendal and hair stylist Eugene Souleiman, the video follows the team as they prepare for the unveiling of Burch’s fall collection at The Pierre hotel in New York. Denholm is no rookie cinematographer, having shot ‘Le Merce’ for Louis Vuitton and two Florence + the Machine music videos (Never Let Me Go, Rabbit Heart), her eye for capturing the essence of reality is remarkable.
This isn’t the first short that Denholm has directed for Burch; last year she was the creative mind behind, “Tory Burch’s Love Letter to New York.” Aside from the elegant prints coupled with impeccable tailoring, and geometric shades that will soon be at the top of every woman’s wish list, we were most excited about Canada’s own Blue Hawaii being selected for the soundtrack (frontwoman Raph is also a member of the buzzy bands Braids, featured in our Summer Music Round-Up).
