Arlenis Sosa is on tippy-tap top of the world. When her mega-wide, megawatt smile flashes, which is often, it’s like a button is pushed and an Edison bulb goes off in her eyes. On our cover shoot at Milk Studios in New York, the Dominican Republic–born and –raised 24-year-old is snapping and dancing to Benny Benassi’s “Cinema” between takes. You are a cinema/I could watch you forever/Action, thriller/I could watch you forever. Even when the music stops, her body beat-beats to an inner merengue. “I have to move!” she explains, though she doesn’t need to. Hundreds of photo shoots in, some models sit about, flat and bored. But Sosa is energetic, radiant, as if holding a winning lottery ticket in her back pocket.
