Has order fallen in the fashion kingdom?

In a press conference yesterday, Giorgio Armani addressed negative comments directed towards him last week by Roberto Cavalli. The outspoken designer took to his blog to express his discontent (to say the least) with Armani’s request to change his show date during Milan Fashion Week from the last day of shows, Monday, to Sunday. In his post he referred to Armani as “Reuccio,” or “Little King” and blasted the Camera Nazionale della Moda calling the Italian Fashion Chamber “useless” for giving into Armani’s demand.

Is this all a little amusing to Armani?

In his press conference he laughed, advising Cavalli to “be quiet because the ‘Little King’ could start to get angry.” We sense a fashion war brewing! To add to the buzz, Just Cavalli has announced it-girl Georgia May Jagger as the face of the label’s new fragrance–a first for the spawn of rock legend Mick Jagger. Dubbed a “playful temptress” by Cavalli, perhaps GMJ will add to the fire as round one of this fashion battle plays out.
