On Friday, tech fiends and fashion lovers alike untied in a mad rush to pick up the latest iPhone 4S. In the interest of research, we visited Apple’s HQ to hear from the team themselves what makes this device so stellar. Of course, this being FLARE, we took a decidedly different approach to analyzing the new iPhone’s merits. Fashion first.
1. Improved camera: Perfect for quickly capturing sharp runway snaps and sharing them with our @FLAREfashion followers or posting to our Tumblr.
2. Siri: “Will I need an umbrella in Paris this weekend?” we asked Apple’s virtual It-Girl, who quickly came back to us with a complete weather report for the city of light. “How about Milan?” we countered. Again, Siri had our back. With the ability to text, email, call or google search on voice command, we think we’ve found a new intern, save for the odd cappuccino run.
3. iCloud: Between one’s iPad, iPhone and laptop, syncing content can be a tedious hassle. This new operating system allows for files to virtual sync-up in an instant. For example, you begin a blog post on your computer, you can finish and post from your iPad seamlessly. Just the thing for fashion week. Talk about virtual office.
iPhone 4S comes in either black or white and is available in the Canada for a suggested retail price of $649 (CAN) for the 16GB model, $749 (CAN) for the 32GB model and $849 (CAN) for the new 64GB model. iPhone 4S is available from the Apple Online Store, Apple’s retail stores and through select Apple Authorized Resellers.
