28 days, four cities and a millllllion shows later, fashion month has finally wrapped. And while the season’s epic designer debuts meant all eyes were on biggies like Saint Laurent and Dior, there were some seriously impressive young labels stealing the spotlight. Here, we nominate eight up-and-comers who are on the brink of fashion world domination.
Designer Sander Lak has flipped New York’s up-and-coming scene on its head in just two seasons, shifting the vibe from genderless cool kids a la Eckhaus Latta to sharp, technicolour elegance reminiscent of an early Christopher Kane. It comes as no surprise than that the Dutch designer’s got the pedigree to match his impressive ascension, with previous gigs at Marc Jacobs, Phillip Lim and Dries Van Noten (where he was head of design for five years).
