What: Barilà End-of-Season Sale

When: July 25–27, daily from 12–6 p.m.
Why: Shop the local label’s Spring ’12 collection at half price, and score up to 75% off previous collections. You’ll also get a chance to meet the designer, Sabrina Barila, and get a behind-the-scenes look at one of Montreal’s most successful brands. Update: Sale has been moved to mid-August. Dates to be confirmed.

Take Off Your Clothes
Where: The Grand Foyer Culturel at Place des Arts
When: July 28–29
Why: Join the biggest clothing swap in North America, with more than 5,000 garments personally selected by The SWAP Team and a group of guest blogger-curators, including une parisienne a Montréal and Lolitta Dandoy. Hot tip: Keep an eye out for new and vintage finds from local labels and boutiques, such as Valérie Dumaine, General 54, La Gaillarde and Quartier Mode. Tickets are $10 in advance or $12 at the door.

What: The Montreal Fashion and Design Festival
Where: McGill College Avenue, between de Maisonneuve Boulevard and Ste-Catherine Street West.
When: August 1–4
Every summer, fashion-event firm Sensation Mode brings all things style to the masses with a four-day festival celebrating style, design and music from Montreal and beyond. On the fashion front, this year’s lineup includes M0851’s 25-annivesary bash, a preview of the EDIT by Jeanne Beker Fall ‘12 collection and a catwalk presentation by cheap-thrills mecca Forever XXI.
