If action sequences or superheroes aren’t your thing, maybe all the pretty faces in X-Men: First Class will draw you to the movie theatre this weekend. The film stars fan favourites James McAvoy, Michael Fassbender and Kevin Bacon. But the cutie to keep your eye on is Nicholas Hoult who plays the brilliant scientist, Hank McCoy (Beast). If you squint you might recognize him as the awkward, slightly pudgy kid opposite Hugh Grant in 2002’s About a Boy. But he’s grown into a handsome 21 year-old who is known for his “Vulcan” eyebrows and chiseled cheekbones (oh, and of course his impressive acting chops).
This up-and-coming actor is widely known for his role as Tony Stonem in the hit UK TV series Skins, which has since spawned an American remake. He also starred opposite Colin Firth in 2009’s critically acclaimed A Single Man. Catch him next playing Jack in Jack the Giant Killer, a modern re-telling of the classic fairy tale Jack and the Beanstalk, which also stars Ewan McGregor. Here are his vital stats:
Date of Birth: December 7, 1989

Height: 6′ 3”
Eye Colour: Blue

Girlfriend: There’s some speculation about his relationship with X-Men co-star Jennifer Lawrence but most signs point to single.
