Though Madonna’s American directorial debut, W.E., doesn’t hit theatres until February 3, 2012, the film has seen a whirlwind of good and bad press throughout its tour on the film fest circuit. Now, this interview promo has popped up online with clips from the shooting of the film alongside cast commentary about the plot and character creation. Though we can’t vouch for the quality of the film itself, the architectural costumes look museum-worthy and Madonna and her subjects have a distinct appreciation for this story that interweaves the lives of two women separated by decades. Each person has a tangible attachment to the details of each prop, set and character motivation, which makes us all the more excited to see this film when it graces the silver screen.
