The first stop in our Style Jaunt series was Lisbon, Portugal (watch all three episodes now!), where style bloggers Gracie Carroll and Camille Desrosiers discovered where to shop, eat and watch the most gorgeous sunsets. Their next stop is beautiful Puerto Vallarta, Mexico a location you may think you know, but trust us, there’s a lot to discover. Watch below as our travellers meet local shop owners and craftsman, shop unique stores, visit a small surf town and taste test margaritas.

Enter to win a trip for two to Puerto Vallarta to stay at the Now Amber Puerto Vallarta Resort and Spa courtesy of Air Transat! Take note of the promo codes you see pop up in the videos below and visit flare.com/stylejauntcontest for more information.

Episode 1: Mexican Craftsmanship
After meeting up at the breathtaking Now Amber Puerto Vallarta Resort and Spa, Gracie and Camille waste no time going into town to seek out the shops. Their first stop is family-run shoe store Huaracheria Fabiola, where they design their own handmade sandals with the help of co-owner and shoe maker Marco Antonio.

Next they visit Mannmade Mexico, a gallery owned by Quebec-born designer and curator Louise Mann, who sells her own jewellery and employs Mexican artisans to create artwork and handicrafts you can’t find anywhere else.

And what better way to wind down a day of touring Puerto Vallarta than with a margarita? Mann joins our travellers at El patio de mi casa an outdoor restaurant and jazz club for some of the best drinks in town.

Episode 2: The Surf Town Experience
Gracie and Camille travel to the small surf town of Sayulita, Riviera Nayarit to experience a slower-paced side of Mexico. They meet up with Kalle Carranza, a stand-up paddle board instructor, for a lesson on the beach before heading to Sininen, a surf and clothing shop he runs with his girlfriend Eva, where our bloggers try on bathing suits, including the fair-trade, made-in-Mexico line LoveEra.

You can’t travel without bringing home a souvenir and Revolution del Sueno in Sayulita is packed with colourful blankets, bags, postcards and home decor, which the girls could not resist.

Finally, they find one of the best spots to drink Racilia, a type of Mezcal, the distilled liquor native to Mexico, at Cava Bar in Sayulita, a new place that’s attracting locals and surfers alike.

Episode 3: The Bohemian Lifestyle
A healthy breakfast and fresh juice on the terrace at Sayulita café  La Esperanza starts the day before Gracie and Camille set out to find the legendary boutique, art gallery and guest house Pachamama. Run by world traveller and free spirit Nathalie Mignot, the shop has one of the coolest interiors the girls encounter on their journey.

Next, they try on jewellery and examine the handmade blankets and traditionally embroidered skulls at Evoke the Spirit before heading back to Puerto Vallarta to finish the day.

They discover the cute Isla Cuale Flea Market, set on a small island in the centre of town where they shop the lively stalls for the perfect reminders of their trip. Then it’s back to Now Amber Puerto Vallarta Resort and Spa to reminisce about their adventures and take in one last incredible Mexican sunset.
