TIFF has a reputation for having a decidedly low-key red carpet, but we’ve been luck to witness plenty of glam moments so far the year, not the least of which happened last night.
Both stars of Madonna’s Wallis Simpson biopic, W.E., Andrea Riseborough and Abbie Cornish, pulled off top-notch red carpet looks—if only because we’re pretty sure that nothing low-key is allowed to be associated with Madonna. Riseborough set her raven hair against an emerald sequinned Dolce & Gabanna dress, while Cornish donned a pale Elie Saab gown that seemed to catch the breeze in just the right way. Madge, of course, doesn’t have to resort to such tricks as sequins and flutter and her slim black Tom Ford dress was just fine, thanks.
In non-Material Girl red carpet moments, Titian-haired beauty Jessica Chastain wore a mustard-hued Viktor & Rolf resort gown to the Coriolanus premiere, while Hong Kong actress Michelle Yeoh was full-stop gorgeous in a body-skimming black-sequinned look.
Who do you think was best-dressed?
