There were a lot of predictions up in the air for this year’s Emmy Award nominations. Live streaming shows like House of Cards, Orange is the New Black (now in the Drama category!) and Transparent were poised to make a major impact. Many final-season shows like Parks and Recreation, Mad Men, and Nurse Jackie, as well as late night end of an era programming like The Late Show with David Letterman,  The Daily Show and The Colbert Report, were expected to get more nominations than usual. And of course, the biggest question of them all was if Modern Family will be walking away with the most noms, yet again.

Game of Thrones received the most nominations with 24, followed by American Horror Story with 17 and a 3-way tie for 5th place between House of Cards, Transparent and Mad Men with 11 each. Award winners will be announced at the ceremony on September 20, hosted by Brooklyn Nine-Nine‘s Andy Samberg.
