Taylor Swift and Nicki Minaj are among the first wave of performers announced for the upcoming 54th Grammy Awards. Swift is nominated for Best Country Album for Speak Now and Minaj is up for Best New Artist. This will mark the rapper’s first time performing on the Grammy stage.
Other performers include six-time Grammy-winning Foo Fighters and Grammy-winner Bruno Mars. Each have six nominations and will face off against one another for Album Of The Year. Kelly Clarkson and Jason Aldean will also perform their nominated song “Don’t You Wanna Stay.”
There is no word yet on whether the night’s leading nominee, Kanye West, who has seven nominations, will perform. It is also unknown if six-time-nominee Adele will have recovered from her vocal surgery in time to make her comeback appearance on the show. She is talking with her doctor’s permission, but she is waiting until early next month to decide if she can sing in public since she does not want to rush back and injure her vocal cords again.
The 54th Annual Grammy Awards will take place live on Sunday, February 12th at 8 p.m. EST on CBS.–Erin Fitzsimmons
