If you’ve ever dreamed of owning Sporty’s athletic tracksuits, Scary’s leopard jumpsuits, or Posh’s leather dresses, now is your chance.
The Spice Girls, who reunited this week to launch the Spice-themed musical Viva Forever!, will auction off some of their most iconic stage outfits for charity. The auction will coincide with the launch of the musical this December with proceeds going to the Save The Children and Children In Need Foundations.
“I’ve got all my costumes still,” Victoria Beckham, who first suggested the auction, said. “I can’t wait for Harper to grow a little so she can have some. But the rest I’d like to put up for charity–I think it would be a fantastic thing to do.”
Items at the auction will include Victoria’s black PVC dresses, Mel B’s leopard-print catsuits, Mel C’s crop tops and tracksuits, and Emma Bunton’s baby-doll dresses. Don’t get your hopes up for Geri Halliwell’s infamous Union Jack dress, though: it’s currently on display at the Hard Rock Café in Las Vegas and not up for grabs. Bummer. – Christian Allaire
