If you’re in the mood to see some breathtaking artwork this weekend, we highly suggest heading over to Toronto’s Izzy Gallery for the Albert Watson photography exhibit.
The 70-year-old Scottish photographer has also shot just about every pop culture icon over the span of his 42-year career. The exhibit, which runs from now until Dec 27, will feature portraits of some of his most prolific subjects, including Alfred Hitchcock, Keith Richards, Steve Jobs, Kate Moss and Michael Jackson.
As a much-sought-after fashion and commercial photographer, Watson’s work has been on the cover a countless number of times and has adorned gallery walls from around the world. His portraits are so intimate and highly detailed that they make the image quality debate between print and digital seem foolish. —Portia Baladad
