Forget Bruce Willis’s album The Return of Bruno (what’s that? You already had?). Scout Willis, daughter to superstar parents Bruce Willis and Demi Moore, took the stage at Toronto’s North by Northeast Music Festival Wednesday night with her band Gus + Scout.
The duo, composed of Willis and Gus Wenner (son of Jann Wenner, founder of Rolling Stone), are half-country half-rock with just a touch of blues. Undoubtedly, the venue went from empty to packed once the band took the stage, as many were curious to see if the “celebrity kids” could actually sing and deliver. Verdict? They surprisingly can.
Memorable moments from the show included when Scout kissed Wenner on the cheek following one of his guitar solos (couple alert?) as well as the duo’s constant eye contact throughout the performance. Willis isn’t the only artistic spawn of Moore and Willis either – her sister, Rumer Willis, has starred in several films including The House Bunny and Sorority Row. Listen to the band below and judge for yourself. – Christian Allaire
