Ben Stiller has reportedly offered Lady Gaga $5 million to appear in the Zoolander sequel according to the U.K.’s The Sun newspaper.
If true, Gaga could potentially become a love interest for Owen Wilson’s Hansel McDonald (Stiller’s Derek Zoolander had a child with journalist Matilda Jefferies [played by Stiller’s real wife Christine Taylor] at the end of the first film).
The paper’s anonymous source claims Gaga is their first choice as “she has the talent and attitude — and an amazing sense of humour.” The Sun also claims that models Kate Moss, Kate Upton, Heidi Klum and Adriana Lima are on their list of potential candidates.
Back in 2011, Stiller told Empire Magazine the sequel will pick up 10 years after the first film end. The two male models will try to re-enter the industry after they initially retired to start “The Derek Zoolander Center for Kids Who Can’t Read Good and Wanna Learn to Do Other Stuff Good Too.”
The evil fashion designer Mugatu (as played by Will Ferrell) is also expected to return. There’s no word on whether Gaga will be on the side of good or so-bad-it’s good style.
