Following Sunday’s boat cruise down the Thames on Sunday, the Royal Family were back in action to celebrate the Queen’s Diamond Jubilee in concert. While the event was intended to celebrate her royal in-law, all eyes were on the Duchess of Cambridge, Kate Middleton, as she watched the festivities at Buckingham Palace. Despite that the majority of her look being hidden behind the Royal box, rabid fans of the Royal’s style were able to deduce that she was wearing a printed frock from Whistles, with a black shearling coat from Alexander McQueen over top, later confirmed by Palace officials.
This is hardly the first time Kate’s opted to mix high-street (read: fast fashion) brands with designer names – it’s become one of her style signatures, and has lead to both the championing and decrying of the Duchess’ style from many notable figures in fashion. Given that Kate’s already worn an all-red look, followed by the blue we saw today, we think it’s safe to say that Middleton will go for an all-white ensemble for the celebration tomorrow–representing the Union Jack.
