Last night the stars congregated at the Hyatt Regency in Los Angeles for the 2010 BAFTA Los Angeles Britannia Awards. The awards were presented by a bevy of beauties that all lit up the red carpet. Representing the Brits, Carey Mulligan was the first to rock a frock from the Preen Spring ’11 collection. The actress expertly paired the black and white dress with a pair of YSL Palais pumps in electric blue, making a youthful and fresh statement. Another style maven from the other side of the pond, Marion Cotillard dazzled in a powder blue draped sleeve Elie Saab number. The shimmering dress was paired with simple black Jimmy Choo sandals but she added that French “je ne sais quoi” by completing her look with a quirky updo.

FLARE’S December cover girl Olivia Wilde was also on hand to present for the event and made a serious statement by sporting separates. Coupling a long-sleeved black Michael Kors’ body suit with a floor-skimming sequin skirt and finishing it with a Judith Leiber [link to bridal post] clutch, the actress proves that separates belong on the red carpet. Rosario Dawson confirmed that you can wear white after Labour Day, by donning a Christian Siriano LWD for the occasion. Teaming the strapless dress with leg-lengthening nude pumps the actress showed off her best assets.

And last but certainly not least, the youngest fashionista of the bunch Dakota Fanning showed that she can strut her stuff on the red carpet with the big girls. The Eclipse starlet wowed in a Valentino Haute Couture strapless gown from the Fall ’10 collection. Opting for no accessories the nude number made a minimal statement with maximum impact.
