Film buffs and movie junkies, it’s the moment you’ve been waiting for. Emma Stone and Seth MacFarlane, the creator of Family Guy and this year’s Oscar host, announced the 2013 Oscar nominees this morning.

Lincoln is at the front of the pack, receiving a total of 12 nominations. However Life of Pi isn’t far behind with 11. Silver Linings Playbook and Les Miserables aren’t doing too shabby either, receiving eight nominations.

While you’re watching the Oscars on Feb. 24 don’t forget to root for Canada. Rebelle, the story about a child soldier, received a nomination for best foreign language film. Torontonian composer, Mychael Danna, is in the race for two Academy Awards for best song and best original score in Life of Pi. Ariel Nasr closes out the Canadian list for Buzkashi and Yan England for Henry, who have both been nominated in the life action short category.
