What’s your favourite pair of shoes right now?
I love Air Jordans. I used to play basketball and the whole time I played ball, I never had good luck playing in Jordans – as soon as I gave up basketball, I started wearing them.
Is your every day style different than your performance style?
On stage I wear fedoras, but on a regular day I’m typically wearing a hoodie.
What can we expect to see you in at the Juno’s?
I might throw on a tux. You know I don’t normally wear suits a lot, but I’m looking forward (to the Juno’s) because I might be doing something with DSquared2.
Where do you like to shop?
The Bay, Diesel for accessories, Urban Outfitters and my friend’s really cool store on Queen St. West in Toronto, Proper Reserve.
Who inspired your style as a kid?
I would say I was mostly inspired by the Wu-Tang Clan and hip-hop culture.
Do you wear cologne? Does your fragrance choice change or do you have a signature scent?
I have a go-to fragrance, but it’s not cologne. I wear Egyptian musk oil and I’ve been wearing it since the ’90s.
Pick your favourite ‘sexy’: red lipstick and intoxicating perfume or sweatpants and Air Jordans?
I love a woman in just some sweatpants rolled up at the waist, a tank top and some Jordans.
