THE EVENT: The third annual One X One Benefit Gala, held at Toronto’s Four Seasons Centre for the Performing Arts. Founded by Diesel Canada’s Joey Adler, the charity raises money for impoverished children around the globe.
LEADING MAN: Oscar winner Matt Damon hosted the event for the second year in a row. The hottie was also in town to promote Running the Sahara, a film he executive-produced and narrated about the coast-to-coast run across the Sahara Desert by three men to raise awareness for Africa’s water crisis.
HIGHLIGHTS: Wyclef Jean and Shakira heated up the room with a superhot performance of “Hips Don’t Lie.” Fabulous auction items included tickets to hang with the casts of Ugly Betty and Entourage, and an opportunity to cycle with Lance Armstrong.
