A Weekend of Golden Globes Parties Begins With A Bang

With so many parties to choose from this weekend, what’s a nominee to do? Um, everything. Golden Globe nominations don’t come along that often, unless you’re Meryl Streep (love!), so when your name is called and the invites flood in, there’s nothing to do but go for it. Last night had nominees and presenters running from the Critics’ Choice Awards to the unofficial after party at the Chateau Marmont hotel, officially a pre-Golden Globes celebration. Colin Firth and his beautiful wife Livia Giuggioli, stopped by the Chateau on the heels of Firth’s Critics’ Choice Best Actor win for his role in Golden Globe Best Picture contender, The King’s Speech. So did Andrew Garfield who also had cause to celebrate since The Social Network picked up best picture honors. The Fighter Best Acting Ensemble winner, Amy Adams, kept the party going too, and a good thing because her sweetly demure asymmetric neckline dress deserved another look. Elsewhere in town, Anne  Hathaway and Demi Moore got their Cartier on ($100K diamond drop earrings to be precise), at the CAA pre-Golden Globes party.
