With only ten days until the Summer Olympics in London, more news surrounding the celebrity attendees we can expect to see (likely from our TV screens) have started to surface.
While we haven’t even gotten to the opening ceremony yet (July 27), we’ve learned that the Brits plan to give a nod to the fashion industry during the closing ceremony. A pack of UK models, including supers Kate Moss and Naomi Campbell, along with Stella Tennant, Rosie Huntington-Whitely and Lily Cole will take a turn on the catwalk, wearing British designers, set to David Bowie’s “Rebel, Rebel” and “Fashion.”
You can also expect top musical acts with performances by Paul McCartney, Adele, One Direction and more. The performance will be Adele’s first appearance since announcing her pregnancy—it’s since been revealed that the singer is due in September. There have also been rumours of a Spice Girls reunion at some point during the ceremonies—time will tell!
Another highly-anticipated style star we’re itching to see? Duchess Kate Middleton—the royal couple are reportedly looking forward to attending quite a few of the events, and we’re eagerly awaiting Middleton’s Olympic attire.
