Flare’s February cover girl, Canadian starlet Nina Dobrev, has been busy running with “bloodsuckers” on her hit television show The Vampire Diaries. But that isn’t stopping the former Degrassi actor from letting her star shine on the big screen as well. It’s been confirmed by the movie website Deadline that Dobrev just scored a role in 2012’s film adaptation of the beloved young adult novel The Perks of Being a Wallflower.
The story revolves around Charlie, a high school freshman and social outcast who befriends a pair of hard partying, senior year step-siblings at his school. The brunette beauty will play Charlie’s older sister Candace. The drama/romance stars Percy Jackson and the Olympians’ Logan Lerman as Charlie opposite Harry Potter alum (and the new face of Lancome) Emma Watson. Dobrev is on a roll. She’ll appear in the upcoming action/thriller The Killing Game opposite Samuel L. Jackson and Twilight hottie Kellan Lutz set to release in 2011. –Ashley Singh
