Aretha Franklin’s throat should be declared one of the world’s greatest natural resources. Her voice can hit notes that most of the divas today can only dream to reach. She’s coming to Toronto for a one-night-only event at Roy Thomson Hall on November the 6th (tickets are still on sale) and no doubt she will be singing a clutch of her 24-K hits. My favourites? “Natural Woman”, “Do Right Woman”, “RESPECT” and of course, “Bridge Over Troubled Water”. Will follow up with an in-depth review of Re-Re’s show. Sock it to ‘em!
