Only three days left until the MMVAs take over Toronto. Today we look at the International Video of the Year: Artist category.

Round 4: International Video of the Year: Artist
Apparently there were a lot of great videos by non-Canadians this year; the nominee list is huge! MMVA attendees are well represented: Bruno Mars for “Just the Way You Are,” Lady Gaga for “Judas,” David Guetta featuring Rihanna for “Who’s That Chick,” and Selena Gomez & The Scene for “A Year Without Rain.” Also on the list are Eminem featuring Rihanna for “Love The Way You Lie,” Rihanna solo for “Only Girl (In The World),” Katy Perry featuring Kanye West for “E.T.,” Kanye West featuring Pusha T. for “Runaway,” Britney Spears for “Till the World Ends,” and finally Jennifer Lopez featuring Pitbull for “On the Floor.” Told you it was long.
Who Should Win
Katy Perry’s one of the hottest names in music right now and her song, “E.T.,” features the biggest man (with the biggest ego) in hip hop, Kanye West. To top it off Katy’s video for  “E.T.” is out of this world (actually). The video, helmed by Canadian director Floria Sigismondi, known for directing the videos for Marilyn Manson’s “Beautiful People” and Christina Aguilera’s “Fighter,” begins with Mr. West in outer-space rapping about being awesome. Then an alien appears floating through space who morphs into a freaky but beautiful Katy Perry. There are some unexplainable Animal Planet-esque images of cheetahs and insects thrown into the mix, Perry finds her robot/astronaut lover and Kanye raps about a “bar out in Mars.” To finish it off Katy pops on her Vogue sunglasses so she and her extraterrestrial can walk into the sun.

Who Will Win
With a list including Kanye, Eminem and Lady Gaga this is a tough choice. But Britney fans are die-hards (she was voted into UR FAVE International Artist category as the wildcard  nominee) so we predict her video “Till the World Ends” will win. The video features a  post-apocalyptic dance party. Forget about dancing in the streets, try dancing in the sewers! As large asteroids crash into the world above Britney and her back-up dancers rock out below. The best part about this video is the red jumpsuit Brit wears which is so reminiscent of her “Oops I Did It Again” video. In the end, the world survives, with Brit emerging through a sewer grate to sunshine up above. Long live Britney! – Regan Reid
