The WASP Wedding
We can’t think of a more perfectly matched couple than Olivia Palermo and Johannes Huebl. She’s a New York socialite with one of the city’s most coveted closets, and he’s a German model with Prince Charming good looks. Together, they’ve dazzled red carpets since 2008, and even teamed up with Spanish retailer Mango to star in their 2010 ad campaign. Seeing as Olivia’s style seamlessly blends trends with traditions, we’d love to see her in something like this strapless black and white Vera Wang, which re-works a classic colour palette into a contemporary design. Of course, the accompanying reception would require all of the pomp and circumstance of a historic NYC hotel—The Plaza or The Waldorf would do nicely.
The Hollywood Wedding
Ah, young love. At the tender age of 23, Emma Roberts announced that she is engaged to her beau Evan Peters, 27, who also happens to be her co-star on the hit series American Horror Story (romantic, no?). Despite a domestic dispute at a Montreal hotel this past summer (local police made an appearance), we can’t help but root for these two. We suspect Roberts will opt for full-on glamour (she is Tinseltown royalty after all), so this beaded gown by Badgley Mischka will create the right feel. The wedding car? A vintage convertible with a “Just Married” banner across the back—perfect for driving off into the sunset.
The Beach Wedding
The future Mrs. Johnny Depp, Amber Heard, is a bonafide knockout. It’s rumoured the couple are planning to get married on the beach in the Bahamas (on Depp’s privately owned island, natch), to be followed by a barbeque and live music. Amber’s red carpet style is pretty va-va-voom, but since it’s looking like the nuptials will be a low-key affair, a more pared-down design might be a better fit. This crepe silk dress from Oscar de la Renta is ideal for a beachside ceremony—simply pair with bare feet and palm fronds.
The Boho Wedding
She was trying to make it on the Real World while he was on How To Make It In America, but Jamie Chung and Bryan Greenberg are better when they’re making it together. Reported to have first met at Coachella in 2012, the actors are also avid adventurers and activists. We’re imagining a lush oasis in Palm Springs, with guests gathered under a lantern-stung night. A lover of classic beauty and bohemia, we can totally see Jamie gravitating to this silky tulle gown by Monique Lhuillier. With its delicate cap sleeves, empire waist, and gossamer skirt, it’s perfect for a rustic wedding under the stars.
