Lady Gaga is really getting carried away by the holiday spirit this year. A couple days after launching Gaga’s Workshop at Barney’s New York—an entire floor of special edition items that she helped design—the singer unveiled a new holiday song collection. “I’m so excited to SURPRISE announce my release of a $3.99 holiday EP ‘A Very Gaga Holiday’ on ITunes and Amazon now!” she tweeted. “Happy Thanksgiving!!!!” The four songs on the EP are live recordings from her TV special “A Very Gaga Thanksgiving,” which airs at 9:30 tonight on ABC.
Perhaps inspired by their recent duet, Gaga has taken a page out of Tony Bennett’s book for her jazzy rendition of “White Chrismas.” In typical fashion, however, she’s added her own twist. Explaining that the song is “just too short,” she launches into an original verse: “I’m dreaming of a white snowman / With a carrot nose and charcoal eyes.” She may be dreaming of snow, but she’s not dressing for it quite yet: on Tuesday, she wore a barely-there black lace custom Dolce and Gabbana dress to the New York launch of her new book, “Gaga x Terry Richardson.” We’re chilly just looking at her. -Allison Friedman
