Snow White has a long way to go before she reaches her happily ever after. The producer of Snow White and The Huntsman, Joe Roth, has just announced that he plans to make his much-anticipated, action-adventure film into a trilogy.
Kristen Stewart will star as Snow White in the films, the first of which is set to come out June 1, 2012. Stewart will be joined onscreen by Thor‘s Chris Hemsworth as the Huntsman, Charlize Theron as the Evil Queen and Pirates of the Caribbean: On Stranger Tides’ Sam Claflin as Prince Charmant.
As if a trilogy of Snow White films wasn’t enough, The Brothers Grimm: Snow White starring Julia Roberts as the Evil Queen, Lily Collins as Snow White and The Social Network‘s Armie Hammer as Prince Andrew Alcott will also open next year, two months before the K.Stew version.
Meanwhile, expect more details as to what six odd hours of Snow White looks like during the Snow White and The Huntsman presentation at Comic-Con in San Diego later this month. – Regan Reid
