From the runway to the big screen, “dahling.” Supermodel Kate Moss is reportedly in talks to star in an Absolutely Fabulous film based on the hit BBC series. For someone who rarely does interviews, this is a pretty big step – what does she even sound like?

The film, which will have Jennifer Saunders and Joanna Lumley reprise their roles as Patsy and Eddie, will follow the two leading ladies taking a trip to the French Riviera. Undoubtedly, glamour and mishaps will ensue. Moss would play herself – something she’s done before when she starred in an episode of the show, alongside designer Stella McCartney, for Sport Relief this past March (she literally said five words of dialogue).

“She behaved so nicely and was such a sweet person. There was no nonsense,” says Saunders, the creator, on working with her. “She is honestly probably the least precious person we’ve had on. I suppose it’s because she doesn’t have all those hang-ups about her looks like other people. She just threw herself into it and it was wonderful.”

Ab Fab
will also return back to the small screen this summer. VisionTV is premiering two new episodes of the series, one on June 28 and the other on July 5. One can hope that the Kate Moss idea comes through, though: if acting isn’t one of her fortes, Moss can always just stand there and look pretty. We wouldn’t mind. – Christian Allaire
